To us and to you. After a prolonged, unplanned absence, The Colver-Culver Family Genealogy Project is back online! We hope you'll rejoin us.
Some six months ago, evil spammers, exploiting a security vulnerability in one of the scripts we were running, managed to hack our site and set up a spam relay. A spam relay is a site which spits out millions of spam e-mails per day, hogging bandwidth, gumming up e-mail servers, and basically annoying lots and lots of people. Because this sort of activity will get a site -- and its webhost -- blacklisted faster than a McCarthy-era communist, we were politely asked to find a new host. What we expected to be a week or two of downtime stretched into a month, then six. For that we apologize. Finally we're back, better, we hope, than ever. We're working hard to bring site content back online, and ask that you bear with us (or even lend us a hand).
Welcome to our new users, and welcome back to our old friends. |
